The different types of Herringbone Pattern
Traditional parquet herringbone flooring uses smaller blocks than a standard engineered plank, all the blocks are the same size and cut at a 90 degree angle so once it is laid it creates a zig-zag pattern in a staggered effect.
The style of Chevron is slightly different, although using the same size smaller boards these are cut at a 45 degree angle so they meet at the top point of the zig-zag to make a V shape. A more modern take on the classic design.
